Precast stairs - safe access from day one
Stairs poured on site are slow, labour-intensive and hard to finish well. They also leave trades relying on temporary access while the structure goes up.
RAMCO precast stairs arrive finished and ready to install. They give the site safe, permanent access between levels as soon as they’re placed.
Stair options
- Stair flights – straight flights made to suit your floor-to-floor heights and layout.
- Flights with landings – flights with integral or separate landings for dog-leg and scissor stair configurations.
- Stair cores – combined with RAMCO precast core walls for a complete stairwell that goes up fast. See Lift & Service Cores.
- Feature and external stairs – architectural stairs for entries, public spaces and landscapes, in a range of finishes.
Why precast stairs
- Immediate, safe access – permanent stairs are usable straight after installation, reducing reliance on temporary stairs and scaffolding.
- Fast installation – a flight is placed in a fraction of the time it takes to form, pour and strip a stair on site.
- Consistent, accurate geometry – factory moulds give uniform risers and goings, which is critical for compliance and comfort.
- Quality finishes – finished surfaces with options for cast-in nosings and slip-resistant treads – to confirm, with finishes that can be left exposed.
- Fire-rated egress – concrete stairs within concrete cores provide robust fire-rated escape routes.
- Coordinated with the structure – 3D BIM modelling resolves stair connections to landings, floors and core walls before production.
